Premises Liability
Premises liability law allows people who have been hurt because of a property owner's negligence to seek financial recovery.
In order for you to sue for damages, the property owner must have known or been expected to know of the hazardous conditions on their property. You must have used a reasonable degree of care on the premises. For example, if you hurt yourself while skateboarding off a handrail, you will likely have a hard time getting compensated.
